Joon Reflects on the State of the World in His New “World Away” Video

Joon has long been one of the best rappers to come out of Los Angeles, and his latest release, “World Away,” reinforces exactly why we continue to champion him.

Ahead of reuniting with OverDoz for the CTRL + ALT + DEL Festival at the F&M Bank Amphitheater in Long Beach, Joon has been on a serious run—consistently sharing new raps across social media and reminding listeners of the depth of his pen. His recent work combines sharp lyricism with introspection, social awareness and a genuine sense of optimism for the next generation.

That perspective sits at the center of “World Away.” On the chorus, Joon admits:

“I got so little time and so much to say,
I don’t know how I feel about the world today.”

It is a simple but powerful reflection of a feeling many of us share. With the world constantly changing and information arriving faster than we can process it, Joon captures the tension of trying to make sense of the present while still finding something meaningful to contribute.

Rather than approaching these realities with defeat, Joon continues to rap with purpose. His music acknowledges the weight of the moment while leaving room for growth, possibility and hope. That balance is what makes his voice so necessary. He speaks honestly about the world as it is while still encouraging young people to imagine what it could become.

Joon will also be featured on Relatives and Cousins, Vol. 2, the next installment in Party In My Living Room’s compilation series. He is a superstar we believe in, an elite Los Angeles lyricist and an artist whose story deserves to be heard on an even larger scale.
