RESPECT REMIX CHALLENGE —

OFFICIAL RULES

SAME SONG. TWO PATHS. $5,000 IN REWARDS.

THURZ x Mike & Keys are opening “RESPECT” from PURPLE AVIREX to the producer and creator community.

We're looking for new interpretations of the record—not copies of the original.

Flip it. Reimagine it. Change the genre. Change the tempo. Build something we never would've thought of.

There are two ways to enter:

WITHOUT SUNO — PIMLR DISCORD

Download the official RESPECT acapella from the PIMLR Discord and build your remix using your own production workflow.

DAWs, hardware, live instrumentation, sampling, drum machines and other production tools are welcome.

5 remixes will be selected.
$500 awarded to each selected creator.
$2,500 total rewards.

WITH SUNO — SUNO REMIX

Use the official RESPECT song on Suno as the starting point and create your remix using Suno's remix/creation tools.

5 remixes will be selected.
$500 awarded to each selected creator.
$2,500 total rewards.

HOW TO ENTER

WITHOUT SUNO

Join the PIMLR Discord.
Download the official RESPECT acapella.
Produce an original remix.
Upload your finished remix to the designated submission channel/form before the deadline.
Include your producer/artist name, email and social handle.

WITH SUNO

Visit the official RESPECT song page on Suno.
Create your remix using Suno.
Publish your remix through Suno.
Submit the Suno remix link through the official entry form before the deadline.
Include your producer/artist name, email and social handle.

One creator may submit in either or both lanes, but a creator can receive a maximum of one $500 award.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

THURZ, Mike & Keys and the PIMLR team will review eligible submissions based on:

Creativity + Originality — Did you take the song somewhere new?

Musicality — Does the remix work as a record?

Production — How effectively did you build around and reinterpret the vocal/song?

Use of RESPECT — Does the original song remain meaningfully connected to the remix?

Replay Value — Do we want to run it back?

Genre doesn't matter.

Follower count doesn't matter.

We want to hear your interpretation of RESPECT.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Entries must be submitted by [DEADLINE — THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2026 @ NOON PST].

Entrants must be 18 years or older at the time of entry.

Submissions must be original work created by the entrant. Entrants must have the necessary rights or permissions for any third-party samples, vocals, performances or other copyrighted material they add to their remix.

Remixes containing unauthorized third-party copyrighted material may be disqualified.

No purchase is necessary to enter.

Automated, fraudulent, manipulated or otherwise inauthentic submissions may be disqualified.

RESPECT means RESPECT.

Bigotry, hate speech, or targeted harassment has no place in this challenge. Entries or Challenge-related conduct that crosses that line may be disqualified.

Come creative. Come competitive. Come respectful.

OWNERSHIP + RIGHTS

You retain ownership of the original creative elements you contribute to your remix.

The underlying RESPECT composition, master, vocal/acapella and other materials supplied for the challenge remain the property of their respective rights holders.

Challenge materials are being provided specifically for participation in the RESPECT Remix Challenge and do not grant permission to commercially release, distribute, monetize, license or otherwise exploit a remix outside of the challenge without separate written authorization from the applicable rights holders.

By submitting, entrants grant THURZ, Mike & Keys, PIMLR and participating campaign partners permission to repost, stream, feature and promote the submitted remix and the entrant's name/handle in connection with the RESPECT Remix Challenge and its promotion, without transferring ownership of the entrant's original contribution.

Any potential official release, DSP distribution, sync placement or other commercial exploitation of a selected remix would require a separate agreement with the creator.

SELECTION + PAYMENT

A total of 10 eligible remixes are intended to be selected:

5 Suno submissions
5 PIMLR Discord submissions

Each selected creator will receive $500, for a total reward pool of $5,000.

Selected creators will be contacted using the information provided with their submission and may be required to provide payment and tax information before receiving payment.

If a selected entrant cannot be contacted, does not provide required information within [7] days, or is determined to be ineligible, another eligible submission may be selected.

Selections will be announced on or around [MONDAY, OCTOBER 5TH, 2026 @ NOON PST].

IMPORTANT

Submitting a remix does not guarantee selection, promotion, commercial release, distribution or any future collaboration. Challenge administrators reserve the right to determine eligibility and disqualify entries that violate these Official Rules. The Challenge may be modified, suspended or canceled if circumstances outside the organizers' reasonable control materially interfere with its operation, subject to applicable law. The **RESPECT Remix Challenge is sponsored and administered by Suno.** Party In My Living Room (PIMLR) participates as a creative and community partner. Participation is subject to these Official Rules, applicable laws and applicable platform terms.
